Firelight Festival
Firelight Festival in Docklands is one of City of Melbourne’s premier events as a founding partner of the festival Lager Sisters was heavily involved in developing both the food and beverage offering at this winter event. Lager Sisters to this day is still heavily involved with the festival serving 1000s of cups of delicious warm mulled wine. Lager Sisters own 10ft bar made from a converted shipping container not only makes operating a bar over multiple days in winter bearable but also suits the aesthetic of the event perfectly.

Oktoberfest
Staging the return of the German inspired Oktoberfest in Melbourne (and held consecutively over a number of years since at Birrarung Marr, Melbourne Showgrounds and the historic Royal Exhibition Buildings) an experienced, reputable and professional licensee was required to manage and deliver this high-risk event on behalf of the promoters. While acknowledging large scale licensed events such as Oktoberfest have their challenges Lager Sisters were able to satisfy the Liquor Licensing Commission that they had the requisite professional management team and systems in place to ensure compliance and deliver a safe event.

Bright N Sandy Food and Wine Festival
Bright n Sandy Food and Wine Festival held at Green Point, Brighton overlooking the iconic Brighton bathing boxes combines the offerings of popular local restaurants, the on trend Melbourne outdoor food scene with a generous round of bayside craft beers, chardy and champers to create a laid back chilled out day for the family. At Bright N Sandy you can eat, drink, listen to music and entertain the kids in a quintessential Melbourne Summer setting. Chill Out Festival
Held annually in Daylesford in regional Victoria celebrating queer country pride. Chill Out Festival like many community run festivals relies heavily on volunteers to deliver their program of events and sales from the bar to help finance it. Carnival and the Town Hall are Chill Out Festival signature events, Lager Sisters provides much needed bar management services to the festival including stock ordering and control and staff and volunteer management thus assisting the festival to use its limited resources and maximise its returns

Big Day Out
Regarded by many as the best touring music festival in Australia. Big Day Out was where it all started for Lager Sisters. A massive multi stage event with bars to match Lager Sisters quick, friendly and compliant service was a benchmark for the industry at the time.

St Jerome’s Laneway Festival
A street party like no other, when St Jerome’s Laneway Festival moved from Melbourne to Footscray in 2014 Lager Sisters was bought in as a partner in the bar to assist with the expansion of bar operations at the new site. One of the more challenging event sites to set up, with a 48 hour bump in, followed by an even quicker bump out, Lager Sisters experience in crowd and patron management, staffing and operations was instrumental in ensuring the success and set up of the early Laneway bars.

Deniliquin Ute Muster
Just across the border in NSW the Deniliquin Ute Muster is held annually and is a celebration of all things country and utes. Lager Sisters is engaged each year by the Board of Management to assist the licensee with stock management and control and ensure bars are operated in compliance with the event’s liquor license (Responsible Service of Alcohol in particular). Working with event security, local police, licensing police and the local sporting clubs who staff the bars Lager Sisters ensures the events major asset (liquor license) is protected and contributes to the ongoing success of this major Australian regional event

Yak Ales Barbeque Festival
A festival that celebrates all things barbecue and ale. Lager Sisters worked with the major sponsor (CUB) and International Promoter TEG to deliver beer matched to food at this newly created event. With a heavy focus on brand knowledge Lager Sisters went above and beyond to deliver training and support to ensure each staff member could confidently speak to the beer they were serving. An early adopter of cashless payment systems Lager Sisters delivered a seamless service to customers and promoter alike.

Our services

Liquor Licensing Consulting – Lager Sisters can prepare your major event liquor license application including alcohol management plans, security/crowd management plans, risk management plans and emergency management plans. We identify, liaise and coordinate stakeholder input and management to ensure liquor license applications are comprehensive and have in principal support at the time of lodgement.

RSA Marshals – RSA Marshals fill the gap between contracted event security and bar staff and our RSA Marshals hold a Advanced RSA Certificate and have 5 plus years experience operating at a senior level in the hospitality industry. The RSA Marshal essentially acts in the licensee’s best interest ensuring alcohol service at the event complies with the event liquor licence.

COVID Marshals/ Bar Staff – Direct recruitment and a personal interview process prior to placement ensures your public facing and back of house bar staff are the right fit for your event and the task. We train and brief our staff prior to arrival on your event and support and treat staff well in turn they arrive with a positive attitude, work hard and contribute to the success of the event.

Cash and stock management and auditing – Lager Sisters can provide an independent eye on bar operations ensuring systems in place are transparent, working and accountable providing peace of mind and assurance to all parties involved. It can be as simple as counting stock in and matching invoices, reviewing rosters and having a representative at sign on, having a representative in the tank assisting with cash/eft reconciliations. Our own stock and cash management systems (down to the last loose can) have been audited by forensic accountants Korda Mentha receiving a positive report.

Online bar induction for security and bar staff (with back end reporting) – Our online staff and supplier induction separates us from the rest and assists licensees and event promoters meet compliance their legal obligations. It also provides an opportunity to train your staff about the products you are selling, RSA and your liquor licence before the event.
